Game Week!

We hope that everyone enjoyed the time spent with friends and family over the Thanksgiving holiday.  We had solid practice and scrimmage sessions this weekend and are looking forward to opening up on the road this Thursday at The George School.

In the spirit of giving thanks, we have charged the students in our program to make a positive impact in any way they can, no matter how small they feel the deed.  Checkout this story about "The Starfish"...

A young girl was walking along a beach upon which thousands of starfish had been washed up during a terrible storm. When she came to each starfish, she would pick it up, and throw it back into the ocean. People watched her with amusement.She had been doing this for some time when a man approached her and said, “Little girl, why are you doing this? Look at this beach! You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!”The girl seemed crushed, suddenly deflated. But after a few moments, she bent down, picked up another starfish, and hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Then she looked up at the man and replied,“Well, I made a difference to that one!”

Welcome to the 2012-2013 Season!

Friends,

We are very excited to launch this site in conjunction with the start of the 2012-2013 season.  Please utilize this blog as a source of information, inspiration, and support for the Springside Chestnut Hill Academy Boys Basketball program.

Our season will tip off with a parents meeting on Thursday 11/15 at 6:30PM in Room D13

Practice begins on Friday 11/16 at 4PM.  We will continue with a double session on Saturday 11/17 from 9-11:30 AM and 1-3PM.  Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions regarding the program.  

This is an exciting journey... can't wait!
